Hi all! If this question has already been answered somewhere else, please redirect me. I am XP partying in Valkurm near the beaches, and I typically get an error within 5 minutes. Here is the information I get from the error message: AppName: pol.exe AppVer: 1.16.3.0 ModName: ffximain.dll ModVer: 3.0.0.0 Offset: 0003b894 My PC setup is: Intel 805D 2.66GHz @ 667MHz FSB (equiv. 3.33GHz) Aopen DDR2-667 1GB RAM Albatron GeForce 7600GT Win XP Pro 2002 SP2 Please let me know if you have encountered this problem before, and how to resolve it. It's not an unknown problem, but a quick search turns up no known fixes for this issue. Have you checked your video drivers to make sure there aren't any incompatibilities? I recall there are some nVidia drivers that don't play nice with FFXI. Icemage |

To do: 1) I'm running this PC in Taipei, which is currently experiencing ambient temps of around 30C. I think overheating may be causing problems, so I'll likely install an extra fan for good measure (the RAM, CPU, and GPU are all located pretty close together). 2) Run memtest86 to check my RAM. 3) Check for new BIOS updates. 4) Reseat all components.
