Posting to see if anyone has a clue to make FFXI work on WinVista x64 Home edition.

Bought it with my new computer and... The only game I can play is WoW ( appart from Oblivion and Morrowind and Emulators that is ) which isn't FFXI.. Nor does Phantasy Star Universe work that I bought - Infact that messed up the whole comp so I had to format..


Tried the Run as Admin and even disabled it and such, tried the FFXI patch from square, tried them both togheter - I haven't got anything to work so.. Anyone got a clue?

64bit OS = not a good platform for many apps. I doubt you're going to get it to work any time soon.

You're better off going back to 32bit Vista.

Nevermind answering any of that, it ain't important.
All I wanted to know was if anyone had figured out a way to get it working.
I didn't want someone to tell me to "Don't play since it obviusly don't work - FOR YOU" - Believe it or not but that ain't helping me! D:

Zica... quit being a little brat. not many ppl run an 64 bit system at home so dont throw a fit when people dont have answers for you. If someone did and they read this thread, I'm sure they'd post what they know.

If you're still interested, 64bit vista does work with ffxi. I came across an article on it. Reply if you still need it.
