ps2 resolution to a computer LCD monitor??

Hi all,
I just started this game 4 months ago and am enjoying this game a lot. Recently my video card blew out and won't be fixed for a while, so I decided to go out and buy the ps2 version. My Playonline viewer has great graphics, but when it comes to actual play on the TV its hideous, so hideous I can't stand it. I know there is no way to change the graphics on your TV, but is there an adapter/swtich I can link up my ps2 to my LCD monitor? IMO the LCD monitor should produce better graphics than my TV. Is there such a swtich, would anyone be able to post a link or know what this converter is called? Many thanks in advance.

But your going to be disappointed. There will be no earth shattering difference. The graphics are produced by the PS2 and not your monitor. I've played my PS2 on my LCD and on my tv, really no huge difference. There was a slight color change but other than that no difference. Unless you have a crappy tv, then you might see a bigger difference. LOL

I have a decent TV, a sony wega, but playing from pc to ps2, I'm really not used to the graphics. I guess I'm far away from the tv, but its just too pixelated. Thanks again for the help!!

Yeah, the pixilation is due to the TVs pixel count and the video feed going to it. On a LCD Monitor it will have higher pixel count but the video feed will still be the same, so it won't be a HUGE change but it should have a little smoother appearance. I do know taking a normal TV signal and directly feeding it to a monitor the monitor did do a LOT better.

That was of course like almost 9-10 years ago for me did that to a CGA monitor and compared to a brand new TV we had just gotten. Funny though that a monitor of like 5-8 years of age still had better graphics with that then a brand new TV at that time. That's really the whole difference too though between regular TV and HDTV is that HDTV is higher resolution with a device also having a higher pixel count.

What you might notice with the LCD a lot more pronounced is a very thin black line between a set of pixels going horizontaly. It's patterned though so if you're focused to what's going on in the game you might just naturaly filter that out (I had anyways

).
