Hello, I do not have the game yet, but I want to know. If I buy a world pass for a friend, how do I give it to him? Or does he have to buy it himself?

You buy it with gil in game from an NPC in either Bastok, Sandoria or Windhurst. You'll be given a WP which is like 123456 or something along those lines. Just send him it in an e-mail or if you know him in rl write it down on paper and give him it.

Edit: Just in case you don't know how to use it, when you come to select server it says "Unknown" which means you'll be allocated a server at random. Just delete "Unknown" and put in the WP numbers and you'll get on that server.
