Japanese input on NA FFXI - Final Fantasy XI :: Dreams in Vana'diel :: Community

I've enabled Japanese encoding and input like it said through the guides, but whenever I go to POL or FFXI, it won't let me input any hiragana. I can manually click the "kana" tab to let me input katakana, but I can't do that on full-screen mode.

Sorry but you can't type in Japanese on the English version :dead: Although a lot of wish you could, you'll have to get a Japanese version of the game if you want to TYPE in Japanese :sweat:

thats not true my friend has no JP POL or JP FFXI o.O yet mted to me in jpn, possibly typed it from another program and copy + pasted into ffxi? donno o.0 ((donno if u can do that

)) same with my other friend he downloaded some crap off the net and it lets him type in jpn in ffxi -.- and i know from 100% a fact he does not have the jp version of the game

any ideas?

I tried it many many times. I can't get my us FFXI to accept any japanese.
I would love to type JP in it. Heard rumors here and there that people can make it work but I have no idea.

ive seen it work but havn a clue how they did it i will ask them next time i sign on the net :p
