So far FFXI is graphically amazing and I couldn't be more satisfied...that is, until I get into town . It always seems to get a little choppy/slow, and it's bugging me right now. Anywhere outside of towns functions beautifully but once I step into town...slight laggage.

Here's what I have:

AMD Athlon XP 2500+
Radeon 9500 Pro
512 MB RAM

Game settings:
1024x768/1024x1024
MIP on
Bump mapping on
Textures uncompressed

Any tweaks I can do to improve just the town FPS without sacrificing too much detail or quality?
