In Game FreeZing!

My friend just built a new computer and everything is going good untill he enters the world with his char 2-30 seconds later the entire game freezes and the computer wont respond, no alt tabing no ctrl alt delte, all i can do is restart sometimes the moniter turn off then on and the screens size and brightness are all off. Reinstalled and updated everything, no change. How do i FIX!?!

512 ddr

I know this is a default answer, but it may be heat.

Also, make sure your motherboard has it's chipset updated. Sometimes BIOS upgrades can help.

If it is heat (as I've recently discovered), it may be due to the fact that there wasn't enough Heat Sink Compound applied to the top of the processors heat plate. Thats the little raised square in the center of the processor, which makes contact with the heat sink.

This is, of course, provided you built it yourself. If it was pre-assembled and it turns out that it was infact due to the lack of compound, then I'd probably have a word or two with the stores manager.

Oh sorry, the problem was resolved loong time ago. All he had to do was go to the ATI control panel and put 8x to 2x or something like that. haha sorry
