Graphics Bug, NEED HELP BEFORE I RIP OUT MY HAIR!!! :)

Well, I've been having this problem for awhile, ever since I got my new computer and installed FFXI.
When I get into the game, everything works FINE. I mean, awesome. The intro video works very good and all, then I get to the [Character Select Screen] where everything turns upside down. The pixels and graphics start getting distorted and disarranged and then soon, my computer freezes and I'm forced to reboot. I can get into the game, but as soon as I take off my first person view mode or see other players this bug starts eating away at my flesh. Then.. my gaming experience goes to waste. PLEASE HELP ME WITH ANY INFO/METHODS.

Try lowering your graphics options in the setup, lower them to the bare minimum and see if that fixes anything.

Did you ever run the FFXI benchmark? If you haven't I'd run that and see how your video card handles it and see if you score high enough on the benchmark.

Well I've narrowed it down. I was able to get into FFXI and have my character move freely without any ARMOR on. In my mog house its completely safe, so the problem appears to be with the color/gamma or something like that.

Now please, if anyone has had similar problems and have found a solution or have information please let me know.

BTW my Benchmark score was 2500-H and 3k-something-L
