ISP questions...

With the new release of the PS2 version coming out I was worried that my connection wouldn't be supported. I was right. Even though I have a satalite connection my friend down the street uses good 'ole AOL. People have told me about how the network adapter works so I got to thinking. If I were to set up an account on my friends AOL provider.. get the phone number it connects to, get a new username/password -- could I set up my network adapter to use my friends ISP with the new account I activated from MY house and not his? This wouldn't prevent him from using HIS account on the same ISP from HIS home computer, would it?
