Gamepad Config/KiKY USB Adapter

Hi,

I just bought a KiKY USB adapter so I can hook up my PlayStation controllers to the computer. The problem is... I can't seem to configure it with FFXI. When I launch the FFXI config application and then press the 'Gamepad Settings' button, nothing happens. I can kill the Gamepad config task and go back to the regular FFXI configuration, but I can't set up or test the controller.

Calibration/configuration for the controller works in the PlayOnline config program and the controller works fine on PlayOnline itself. FFXI, however, won't even load when I have the KiKY adapter connected -- it just freezes.

So what's the deal? I was really looking forward to using my adapter with the game... I've read that DirectInput is required and my only guess is that perhaps the KiKY adapter doesn't use DirectInput? I have no clue...

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I can not seem to find any sort of information about gamepad difficulties ANYWHERE.

Nevermind! I seemed to have fixed it.

For anyone having the same problems, try downloading the beta drivers from Soyo.

Have you figured out how to get the rumble to work?

Got it to work using the beta driver, but unable to get rumble to work as well... anyone know anything?

Does anyone know the the configuration used by this site on the "PS2 controller to PC" guide. The pictures dont seem to be showing up anymore.

I'm used to using the configuration used in that guide but I've had to re-install and forgot the button order.

Anyone have those pictures saved or something? Thx
