FFXI won't start up! HELP ASAP!

I've installed all the updates, but the thing is when I was updating 75% into the update download it stoped and an error came up, so I restarted PoL, and It started downloading again, the last 7% was stuck on 2 mins and it was skipping all these files, acouple mins later it finished, I went to play FFXI than my screen goes blank, than a window comes up saying "Protection Error" and than it closes out of FFXI and PoL. HELP ME PLEASE!:dead:

I can't I'm trying to unistall FFXI through DOS All it was was my task bar and a black screen with the windows ([PoL][Protection Error]) hopefully reinstalling FFXI will make it work?

God! I just want to breakdown and cry! This is so agrivating! Now I can't even reinstall FFXI cause my disks give me the cabient error and I tried installing everything through Dos, which worked before but now It's not doin anyhting GOD! HELP ME SOMEONE PLEASE BEFORE I GO INSANE OVER THIS!

Alright, I got PoL to install and up and running. Now I know my FFXI cd's will give me the cabient error. Is There anyway I can go through installing everything without getting this error? If so please tell me! I would really like this information badly!
