Though personaly I'd go with n-vidia since they are setting the trend in the video hardware market when it comes to games. The ATI series of cards are more geared for multi-media platforms and video editing suites. This is deffinately a great card for the price, but if you're gonna be using for games only, I'd suggest keeping this in the back of your mind if you don't find anything else. It has alot of fluff. ~^^~
Also, be sure that your motherboard has an AGP slot for the card. If not, it wont go in. ^^ The AGP slot is smaller than the white PCI slots and is usually brown in color. Some motherboards have an extended modem slot of the same color which is even smaller, so the insides of computers gets confusing really quick if your not sure what you are doing. gambare~!!~ ~No song is good without... I paid $150 for mine and its only 32MB video card. This is a great card, but I dont know who Inno3D is. The fact that they licenced the nvidia chipset is deffinately a plus, and I would pick it up if I had the cash and/or the need for a new video card. I am biased, so don't put too much wieght into what I say. ^^ At this point in my career, if John Carmak from Id softwares says nvidia good, then I say nvidia good. Of course sometimes I wished that the VooDoo3DFX cards would come back. They were nice for a while. ~No song is good without... Oh, cake, Yum!!~

Is it better for gaming even though it is only 64mb and the ati is 128?

The ATI is boasting the 128MB of RAM because it has a "so so" fill rate and texel rate. Fill rate is how many 3d triangles it can draw per second, and texel rate.. well that's complicated. The simplified version is how many pixels of a texture it can traw per second. The ATI is somewhere in the thousands, while the nvidia is somewhere in the millions. The nvidia is a graphics card that is made for gaming, while ATI sells to the general multi-media consumer. Both should perform the needs of FFXI, but I would have more confidence in the nvidia than the ATI.
~^^~ Im off to gaming, I'll lurk on the boards later on. ~JYAN~ ~No song is good without... Oh, cake, Yum!!~
