Pardon my expression...

But what the hell.....?

I surely hope you mean 3.5mb/s...cause if you're clocking at 3.5KILOBYTES PER SECOND. You will NEVER finish downloading FFXI. Heck the FIRST set you DL is 7500 files.

And do you mean mobile phone?

Yeah, meaning with GPRS he means a connection through mobile phone which isn't as fast as a 56k modem...Which is recommended atleast. It would take days for you to update with that GPRS connection. So if you can just update the game with a DSL first, then you could play the game with kinda big lag... So I suggest not to play FFXI with the GPRS connection.

Actually..... If you are talking about "REMOTE DESKTOP" or something similar, the answer is no.

Remote Desktop has its DirectX functions disabled because the remote desktop drivers do not have such capabilities like a floating-point graphics processor unit, nor does it have a 3D rendering engine. Hence with all that missing, FFXI fails miserably under Remote Desktop. PlayOnline Viewer runs like a slideshow on Remote Desktop.
