error 3100

when i want go on FFXI, i have an error message "error code 3100 couldn't conect to Loby server"
please ... help me :sweat:

after playing the game for over a month, this has now happened to me.

GM's and Tech's are blaming my firewall, even though I have it close.

If Zone Labs or other Firewalls can make it no connect even if the programs are close and FFXI's software is that sensative, and they don't know how to fix it.

they need to put a warning label, because now i feel like i'm out 50 bux, and they've already charged me for a month of service, which i used for 1 day before this happened.

I have done everything they said would fix it, and nothing works. I've deleted my firewall, and it's registry completely (by my firewall providers standards)

i've deleted all files and programs created between the last time iw as on the game, and when it stopped working.

this is very frustrating, i've even went as far to reinstall windows, but that didn't work.

and it's not worth it to clean wipe windows and my hardrive and then reinstall the whole game again.

FFXI is not worth losing all my files, they really need to put on the package, that you can't have these firewalls EVER installed on your computer.

it just doesn't make sense, why 1 day it works, then out of no where it doesn't.

whether they want to believe it or not, it's a bug in there software. IMO

but i don't know where to turn, anyone have any ideas what else i can do?

i'm sorry but i have to bump this, does anyone know the solution to this?

I don't have a router, I do have Zone Alaram Pro for a firewall, but I've deleted it and it's registry keys, still it won't connect to the Lobby Server, I've since reinstalled my Firewall.

Any help on this would be nice, because I'm fixing to have to cancel FFXI

and I haven't been able to contact any of my friends. so my LS probably just thinks I abandoned them.

i thought i would go ahead and say after 8 days i'm finally able to play FFXI again.

I was running Windows 98 SE, and I upgraded to XP, and just like that, I can connect to FFXI again.

so if anyone is not using a router, and having this problem and you don't have XP, try upgrading to XP or possibly changing your modem drivers, not exactly sure which one caused me to be able to play

but i'm putting money on XP

are you using a router/firewall that uses NAT?

that might be the problem.

or if you have Net Zero/Juno
