Help with Benchmark
When I try to run the benchmark, I don't get an error when it loads up - it doesn't load the program at all. The error I do get is a very odd one that I think has something more to do with my access and system setup than anything else. Word for word..

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the approriate permissions to access the file."

I have no idea what this could mean. I'll give my system specs, just to show you than I should be able to run it pretty well..

Athlon 1.2 ghz processor
384 MB SDRAM
Geforce 4 440 MX 64 MB Graphics Card w/ Video Out

Any opinions?

you have to extract the files to another folder. make a blank folder on ur desktop called ffxi or whatever. then if using winamp why u select the file click extract and extract them to that file. some new files will pop up in that new folder u just made. double click on the final fantasy xi one and it should work.

I can help you
I have had this error before.

The solution:
You don't have to decompress the package in your c: carpet, you have to execute the FFXI.exe inside Winrar, without extracting in a new carpet of your hard disk

Sorry, but my english isn't very well..i am from spain :S

Saludos!

Thanks guys! I knew it had something to do with the compression of the file unto my computer - that was the only thing that I eventually could thing of, but I didn't think of running it in Winrar :D

I guess that is why there are smarter people than I am out there Thanks again and see you soon in FF XI

Actually, I found that extracting it from a liscensed version of WinZip worked, whereas WinRar did not.

My highest sore was only a 2493, which is kind of disappointing Still going to get the game though.
