| Junior Member | Windows Key Question...yet again.
There was an application that someone on here mentioned that allows you to set it so that the Windows Key will be turned off when certain applications run. I can't find the thread now and I've looked high and low. I know there's one that will allow you to disable it until you go back in and turn it on, but this was a special app. I tried to search too but the Search feature won't allow the word 'Key' because it's only 3 letters, even when I type it as "Windows Key". Lame. Searching for "Windows" on the other hand returns almost every thread. Useless. I'd really appriciate any help. Thanks in advance. |

You might be thinking of the Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit 3. It's a program that lets Windows 2000 and XP users turn off both Alt-Tab and the Windows key for POL/FFXI. I use it, and it is just fantastic. I can mash those keys all day in FFXI and never lose full-screen mode. Read this page at RPG Expert. It describes exactly how to set up the program. Download WACT 3 from Microsoft here. |

| Junior Member | Thank you so, so much Calianeri! From now on maybe I won't be known as "the white mage that disconnects a lot because they're stupid and hit the windows key"! |

Yea, I forgot to reply but that worked great...and it's a legit MS application which makes me happier.
