| Problem with Analog Gamepad Calibation under Windows XP? I recently purchased FFXI and a Logitech Dual Action gamepad.
I've noticed a problem with both analog sticks losing calibration while playing (i.e. camera will begin to pan around character without me touching the stick, player will move without input on the movement stick). After doing a lot of searching, I've found there are many people who also have this exact same problem. The only way to fix it (short term) is to reboot or to unplug the pad. This, however, only works for a few minutes and the whole cycle begins again.
So far, the only confirmation of this problem I've found was on Logitech's development team's (Wingman Team) website:
"After much experimentation and interaction with Microsoft®, we have confirmed that there is no possibility to globally "tweak" the DirectX deadzone for Windows® 2000/XP using DirectX 8 or DirectX 9.
Microsoft® is considering re-introducing this functionality for a later revision of DirectX. When and if the functionality is enabled in DirectX, then we will update DXDeadZone at that time."

The thing is, my friend who has had FFXI since it was released a month ago has almost the same setup as me (i.e. Dual Action gamepad/WinXP). He has no problems.
Anyone else have this problem? (I'm mainly interested in those using WinXP)
