When I try to enter my ID and password I get the attached error message. Does anyone know what it says? I know it doesn't say "incorrect ID" or whatever, I tried other IDs to see if I'd get the same message.

Has anyone reinstalled the game before? I'm not sure if I'm entering my account details at the right part.

From what little Japanese I know it deffinatly says something is wrong or not matching. Beyond that I wouldnt want to guess what it might mean. The last part says "masen" which usually means the oposite of the statment before it, turning a positive statement into a negative statement. It deffinatly has to do with your PlayOnline ID since it says that in the first sentence. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

Can someone confirm that this is the correct place to enter your ID and password when reinstalling? Just in case I'm at the wrong bit or something.

no thats not the place, it is where ted posted...that is where you log onto your accnt and then u go into POL and u see "NEW USER" blah blah blah all your accnt info...etc etc etc...

hmm ted did u install everything? try installing all four discs first and then log on

<edit> also did u make sure u put in the cd keys?? cause those are important also....

Auron6: You don't need to input the CD keys when you're reinstalling, thanks anyway.

Just reinstalled on another pc to see if I could remember how, heres a very quick guide.

PRESS ON THE BOTTOM BUTTON IGNORE THE TOP BUTTON!!!

ENTER YOUR POL ID AND YOUR POL PASSWORD.

FILL THIS OUT AS INDICATED.

IGNORE THE "CLICK THIS THEN" AND JUST CLICK ON THE ACCOUNT NAME.

CLICK LOG ON

CLICK THE "CLICK" TO LOG ONTO POL AND IT WILL AUTOUPDATE YOUR POL TO THE NEW VERSION.

At no time are any of the registration codes entered again, this goes for a FFXI reinstall aswell.
