Major Computer Issues

Last night, in the middle of playing, my computer froze. Not uncommon with computers and demanding apps like FFXI, but when i rebooted, i got the message "Operating System Not Found". I work in IT for a software company, so i take the usual steps to rectify it, in the end, I had to re-install my OS and all my apps, including downloading 1.5 hrs of FFXI updates. I'm back up and running now, but this does make me a tad worried. What is downright fishy is that in the middle of this, my friend calls me and says he rebooted his computer after playing FFXI and now gets, "Operating System Not Found". Has anyone else had issues like this? virus through playonline? mr. murphy paying a visit? Let me know if you've had similiar issues.

Since the latest update...
during play my screen seems to freeze, then my whole system shuts itself down to the operation system i.e Windows XP .
Receiving error message - reboot computer
so that my grapics card can reboot itself

I have checked the minimum ststem requirements on the playonline website
and I have more than the recomended requirements .

I am not sure if this is related to your incindent but I thought you would like to know .

I'm not really contributing anything here, but this makes me glad I play FFXI on the PS2. Sorry to hear about the issues, though.

err FFXI isnt that demanding when you see newer games...but no this hasnt happened to me or anyone on ffxi i know
