Kinda confused, please help

Ok, so I bought FFXI today for PC, first FF game ever bought (Besides VIII) And I can't friggin play. I know I probably sound like an idiot, but I was wondering if you actually had to register a credit card number to be able to play, if not please tell me because I can't play if I need a credit card (Basically because I dont have one). And whenever on the PlayOnline viewer, I try to login or something, it gives me a error saying invalid PlayOnline ID and password... Is that because I haven't registered with the credit card thingie? Or is it because somthing might be broken? Also, the manual says stuff about free...things I can't remember what it says, does that mean I'll be able to open and play the game without the credit card option? If so, please tell me...Thanks for your reading time :sweat:

This is an online only game as you may already know. You have a monthly fee you have to pay which you also may know. The credit card number is NEEDED. If you dont have a credit card though i think Debit Cards can be used as well as some other methods using cards. But to get to the point, you do need a Credit Card Number to play the game.

But do you need to PAY to play.. Because I remember reading about something in the manual of the game that there was some free stuff... Not like free in the mail items or anything lol. But like you can have a free membership or whatever...Do you NEED to Pay to Play?

I believe there is now a free month's trial, but registering requires you to put in a credit card regardless of that fact. It won't charge you for the first month, but it requires that you use a valid card to register, or else it won't let you.

So yes. You pay to play.

Heres my next question, does anyone know where I can buy parents for cheap? Because mine are being dumb about this, even though I'd be putting the money for the subscription on their card. Thanks for the help

I'd say about 14, he has to have money to purchase new parents right? I was damn Poor at 12... hell I was damn poor at 14 but I still had enough to Ebay new parents ;P

Just go to the bank, get one of those Visa Check Cards and put some money on it. It should work because it has Credit Card Number, its certified by Visa, and its got money on it ^^

Ok, I need help again, how do I give a NPC an item, I was told to give an NPC some kinda card or something, and I can't figure out how to give it to her.

You focus on the NPC and select trade in menu.

There is no trade option...And if there is, I can't pick the item I want to trade...Or something, I'm just confused...Because there was no trade option thingie...

Press the '-' and a menu will come up. Then select 'Trade' and target him/her and press enter.

Alright, I'm just full of problems, now when I try to open the play online viewer, it tells me that my 30 day trial has ended...and I need to register, and I barely fucking did all this last night, I haven't even had the game for 3 days
