Some are correct, some are incorrect.
Your PlayOnline ID is free (technically, because of how charges are made and tied to the Contents ID not the PlayOnline account).
You can purchase up to 16 FFXI content IDs PER ACCOUNT. Your first content ID will cost you $12.95 USD
PER MONTH while additional content ID will cost you $1.00 USD
PER MONTH; but you get your
first 30 days free for FFXI across all Contents ID Meaning they will not charge you for the first 30 days of your first content ID on all your content IDs.
Once you use your PlayOnline registration code, it is forever deactivated and tied to your PlayOnline Login ID. Then the moment you use your Final Fantasy XI registration code while logged in with your PlayOnline Login ID, that registration code is forever tied to your PlayOnline Login ID. So while you can reuse your Final Fantasy XI registration code to get more Content IDs for your account, others can not use it. (I tried.)
When you cancel your account, your account will
not stop until the end of the month. After the end of the month, the account will stop, but your data is saved for three months after that. After the three months the data for the account is lost. HOWEVER, at any time after service has stopped, you can re-activate your account by logging in again, and it will ask you whether you want to activate the account or not.
The moment you activate your contents ID, your 30 days free period begins ticking, and even when you ask to cancel/delete the contents ID, the 30 days will continue to tick away even after the cancel. So once you start the contents ID, you use up your 30 days free period.
This free period applies to each game SEPERATELY!
EX: I activated FFXI in January 2003, I get free play for Final Fantasy XI until February 2003. But when I activate my Tetra Master Contents ID for the first time in June 2003, I also get one month free on Tetra Master, regardless of when I activated for FFXI or my PlayOnline account.
However, deleting all my Final Fantasy XI contents ID for three months and then signing up again for Final Fantasy XI will not get me one more month free.
In theory, you can keep your
xxx@pol.com address forever and free if you do not purchase any Contents ID, since the charges are on the Contents ID not on the PlayOnline account, you can keep that e-mail address, login and check your e-mail all you want.
