I got it tonight as I was healing my friend in a tough fight, luckily he survived. The only thing I can think of is that I'm accidentaly hitting my windows key, although I don't think I have been. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-13-2003, 05:23 AM | #3 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 191 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 303 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 303 Donate | I get that too, do you use any program to take the screenshots? I use Clipper, a friend told me that it might be the cause.. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-13-2003, 06:55 AM | #4 (permalink) | | Programming Slave Administrator Join Date: Feb 2003 Location: California, USA Posts: 1,556 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 65 Thanked 60x in 29 Posts Gil: 46,944 Bank: 20,883,294 Total Gil: 20,930,238 Donate | Hitting the Windows key may kick you out of FULL SCREEN mode, some external applications may also cause that.
Zone Alarm will do that to, and it is a bit tricky to handle Zone Alarm with FFXI, but it can be done.
Check your applications to make sure none of them do any pop-ups. I still have this problem, and I don't have weird programs running at the background, only: clipper, activesync, and sometimes mirc.
And it's not activesync, it crashed me before I had that program.
Sometimes it crashes after 5 mins, sometimes 5 hours and sometimes it doesnt crash at all.. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 12-03-2003, 02:12 PM | #7 (permalink) | | Banned Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 1,443 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 2,532 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 2,532 Donate | Anything running in the backround, anything at all that moves, will bump you off ffxi. Thats why when you hit the windows key your bumped.. same principle I plan to live forever.. so far so good.
