i'm on step 3, the one that leon done the copy and paste guide for and when i copy and then paste it comes out with a "?".

Also is there a way to come out of POL without closing it down? when i press alt+tab it starts the step again

Are you sure your regional and language setting change to japanese?

and is it POL setup step 3?

ok, FFXI wont work on non-japan version winME. So, you better install another OS either 2000 or XP. Then, you wont find any problem after that.

edit: you miss the most important stuff, OS.

You have to buy it, where r you live? But, i think you can find those OS in ebay with cheaper price. Just aware that you should buy that OS with sealed, new and unopened.
