no. the menus are a fixed size.

the values are displayed (by default) in hex. you can either find a hex calculator or simply switch the input type to decimal and enter it in. warning though, if you are not familiar with registry editing, proceed very carefully

In case you didn't know just about all Microsoft Windows come with a calculator that can convert decimal to hex.

You just have to make sure under "View" it's set to Scientific instead of Standard. There you go you got a calculator that'll do it for you. Just set in Dec put the number size you want and click over to Hex and there you go converted to Hexidecimal.

For example:

1280 Dec = 500 Hex
1400 Dec = 578 Hex
900 Dec = 384 Hex

And away you go with it. Like neighbortaru said if you don't know your way around the registry it is kind of advised against messing with it. Registry is pretty resistant to mistakes (Meaning it can correct itself), but it is not resistant to all mistakes. Just takes that 1 good mistake and your OS is completly destroyed.

Well exhadurating it, but it really can do quite a number and is really bad if you don't have a backup of the registry handy. Best to backup exactly before messing with Registry.

I've always thought most of the graphics were software rendered, and that the game only used the graphics card for textures, particle effects and screen res.

If that's the case no matter how good your video card is the improvement would be minimal until they optimized the game.

A graphics card, basically, makes things look pretty. The better the card, the better the game looks. Graphics cards have some to do with performance but the main performance booster is RAM, then comes the processor. The best way to improve your framerate in any game is to buy more RAM for your computer. If you are getting low framerates and your RAM could be more, then getting a better graphics card won't help much. It might make the game look better, but will have little effect onhow smooth the game runs.

Hey all, i've been sort of following this thread for a while now, before i was a member, and thought since every kept asking for screens i'd supply some.

These are at the regedited res of 2048 x 2048 taken with fraps.
Note: While the game looks amazing my computer cant really take it and i had horraible framerate.

PS. The JPGs dont even fully bring the visual quality of the game through...

The thing is, I'm in Europe and (apparently) don't have the particular files in my Registry Editor, and it'd be rather crucial, if I picked the wrong one.

Not quite. I don't have any 003 or 004 files as mentioned in the OP.

It didn't look like a typo, as it was repeated several times, so I just wanted to make sure, if he meant the 0003 and 0004 files that I have.

from the sounds of it, you are completely foreign to the windows registry. do yourself a favor and use mogtoolz instead (it does the same thing) so you don't risk hosing your PC

oh I see now what your confusion is. Yes, 003 == 0003. they are the same thing.

hey i just did what the guy said (3 years ago lol) but i dont see any difference and i got a very good graphic card "Radeon X1600 512MB DDR"

I am running my game resolution at 1440 x 900. What's a good background resolution to run this at? I'm running a 7600 gt. I'm thinking of going with the OP's at 2048 x 2048.
