Cold Freeze

Hello. Has anyone experienced a straight-up freeze of the game? Where it doesn't even take you back to the desktop but completely freezes your game completely? I just got a brand new Dell Inspiron 5150 so if it has to do with the computer I'm going to be pretty angry. Haha, if you have, please let me know and let me know what you did to fix it. thanks.
