What Video Card to Upgrade to
Ok I currently have a TI4200 video card and was wondering what would be a good video card to upgrade to. I was thinking the ATI 9600 PRO. Any thoughts ??

System

CPU= Athlon 2700+
Ram= 1 gig
HDD= 120 gig SATA
VID= TI4200

I have a Geforce 4 ti4400 myself and just bought a Radeon 9700 Pro on ebay. Since you already have a fairly decent card, upgrading to a Radeon 9600 Pro or XT won't give you that much of a boost in current games. A cheap Radeon 9700 Pro or Radeon 9800 non-Pro would be the way to go. ATI's cards have much better DirectX9 shader performance than Nvidia's current cards so ATI's looking like the better choice for now. Note that there's also a Radeon 9800SE. It's cheaper, crippled, and much worse than the other cards I mentioned.
