NA release and server question

I know this may have been asked a million times . However, i been looking for some info about the NA release are they going to set up new servers? Are we going to just randomly be added to current servers? Will there be the chance of being added to a heavily populated server?

if you have any links i dont mind reading the info my self but i just havent been able to find any info.

FFXI is not adding any servers at moment. all NA players will be tossed onto the ones that are currently listed on the FFXI site.

As though populations warrant they have said they will add more.

So you will be tossed onto a random server when logging in unless you have gotten a worldpass from a friend on a server you want on.

Just ask them to get you one if they are on a server you want on with them and give ya the code and enter it upon creating your character when asked if you have a worldpass.
