was wondering if anyone knew if i imported and then the game came out here, if i would be able to use the same cd key/account with the us version?

Nobody knows if Japanese/US servers will be the same, but so far that's what it looks like will happen. So if they are, you should (hopefully) be able to log into your Japanese account on the US version...

you won;t be able to because if you could, wouldn't they realease the US Version already? And plus is seperate. Japanese and American People don't mix. That why they divide there servers. English People and Japanese.

We need a hard drive in order to play it; they won't release the game until Sony delivers the HDDs. Anyway, MMORPG release dates are very unpredictable from what I've come to know. Square hasn't given any release date for PS2/PC version, so we can't really say that there has been a delay. I can't say that it would already be out in that case..

Interviews with square reps have hinted that Americans will play on Japanese servers, adding that we should make an active effort to communicate. They will probably just add new servers when the US version comes out, thus English-speakers would claim the majority of some servers, and Japanese-speakers the majority of other servers.

I doubt they'll release the PC version before the PS2 version. Since they're shooting for maximum profits, why not make the early birds pay for the Net adaptor and HDD?

Just to be clear, the same rules will apply that you won't be able to log on to the same cd-key simultaneously on two machines...
