New importer needs help! - Final Fantasy XI :: Dreams in Vana'diel :: Community

I've been following the guides i've seen off of this sites, and I've got FFXI and POL all set up alright, but my FFXI registration code wont work at all. I got through setting up POL all alright, but I'm running into a dead end with FFXI and buying a content ID. I think I need a new registration code. Does anyone have an extra one or know of a way they can help?

Well, I had no trouble putting in the POL code. When I go in to buy a content ID, i do what i was expected to see. It asks me to type in my user name and password, I do that, then it comes up with the screen for the code, according to the guides all around here, that is when you put in FFXI code I'm pretty sure, but whenever I put it in, it just doesnt seem to wanna accept it. I tried all the other codes on the card just for the heck of it and get the same results. I dont know what it is, but I assume my code for FFXI doesnt work.

sorry, im such a newb...here ya go. I enter in my code, then this screen comes up, then when i click the left button, it takes me back to the screen where i should put in the ffxi code.

yeah, im positive, i may not be able to read japanese, but I can tell by the look of the card which one is for which. It said on this site that the top one was the POL one, but on the card, i can tell which one is the FFXI one because i can see the letters XI above it.

the letter XI can mean something else can't it try to get a translating program for japanese and type in the text to translate it im importing the USA version for europe so try to translate it ow and do you know a good site for importing???? if so please tell me

yes, it's new, and i've done all that. I bought it from himeya.com. I tell ya, something's wrong with my code and I don't know why, but it seems obvious there is. >< That's why I originally asked, I'm hoping maybe someone has an extra that's never been used before or something.

maybe your typing it in wrong, the FFXI registration codes always start with FF so if your not using that one maybe that is yopur problem

Dont take this the wrong way, but I'm not a dumb little kid, ok? I wouldnt have posted, if I wasnt positive that I wasn't making any mistakes. I've typed the code many times, it's not as if I tried once and gave up. I've tried many variations. I restarted POL, i restarted my computer. Nothing is wrong with the program, it's simply not accepting my code for whatever reason.

Did you buy FFXI, FFXI:Rise of Ziraat, or the combined FFXI with Rise of Ziraat?

there are no steps that look any different. Everything looks as it should on the steps i've viewed already on this site. I go to ffxi under games. I push the button for content ID. I choose the second option, I push another button. I enter my ID and password, then it asks me to enter my code. There is nothing abnormal.

On the registration code "blue" you must have 3 of them:

Top -> Playonline
Middle -> Final Fantasy XI
Bottom -> Tetra Monster
