Macro guide?

I've been browsing the FFXIOnline boards for a while now for some various tips and stuff for the game, and while I found a thread or two about it, I haven't seen any comprehensive guide on how to make macros.

I'm using mostly the keyboard, and rarely the mouse, and sometimes it's annoying to have to browse some menus to get something done. What are all the possible commands and tags; or, where can I find them?

P.S. When I'm playing with just one hand (the other hand is for eating, you sick-minded freaks), I find it annoying to have to reach from the numpad all the way to Ctrl+N or Escape. Is there a faster and easier way to cancel?
