i dont know what this problem is

I was playing ffxi yesterday with no problems, today after i downloaded and installed the patch, each time i start up ffxi, it gives that error message u recieve once u press the start button before i even c the intro cg. It then simply boots me back to playonline again, and i keep trying but it keeps booting me back out once i start ffxi.

I have other games which are still running with no problems, any help will be MUCH appreciated

oh, and as a kind of bump, can someone tell me the katanji form of Taunt so that i would be able to macro it.
