Hey guys.Could my Pc run FFXI.Here is what I have.

Pentium 3 processer
512 MB Ram
Geforce 4 ti 4600.Going to get the FX card when it comes out.
80gig hard drive
I have a good sound card.Forget what it is called

What is the speed of your processor, and also did you try the benchmark?

You can find the benchmark right here, just download it and unzip it.

Once you run the program you will see your score, the programs restarts when it is done. So you need to exit with 'esc' button.

if your processor speed is above 667 (which is mine) and benchmark above 1300 (which was mine) then you well above the requirments as i have the same setup instead i have 384 sd ram and geforce4 mx 420. and im doing just fine ^^

i think even if his processor isnt above 667 MHz it would still run FFXI but it would have to be close to it. But besides that, your comp is perfect for ffxi.

Hopefully your processor is 800mhz, you should be able to run FFXI nicely but your processor is bottlenecking your graphics card.

Not really. PCI cards suffer the bottleneck of PCI transfer rates, but AGP cards are OK as most of the 3D processing is actually done by the card itself.
