Well I have just finished Genkai 5 with Samurai!
I really screwed up huge but prevailed either way.



You'll notice that I messed up huge in this fight when you see my logs.
First I equiped every armor, then I meditated. I opened the door to fight Maat and engaged. Soon as I engaged I noticed that I didn't have a weapon in my hand... So my meditate was just wasted with me equiping my Kazaridachi bringing my TP back down to 0.

After that miss hap I said to myself what the hell I'll just beat him anyway, so I engaged and turned on my Meikyo Shisui macro just to find out that my 2HR hadn't cooled down yet from the PT I was in before.

Well by that time I thought to myself.... omfg I'm a dead Hitokiri And because I hit Maat, he turned on his 2HR and started using whatever WS he had. He got 2 WS's on me so I had low HP then I used Vile Elixir and Third Eye'd his Shoulder Tackle. By that time the FFXI Gods stopped laughing at me and let me use my 2HR, and I so used Yukikaze -> Gekko -> Gekko. When I saw that he was still standing I got my Icarus Wing and used the last Tachi: Gekko and thankfully he gave up.

The funniest part was I still beat the previous clear time for Shattering Stars (SAM)!

Killed Rampaging Ram to finish the Purple Belt quest!


Had to wait around 3 hours for this guy to pop.

Pretty simple. Just ran around the tower for 5 minutes killing Tigers and it poped.

Quetzy just killed our first KB last nite i think man we are really behind

So what was it like?

I was running in and out SA+WS because of it's Meteor. Did about 650+ on me everytime it did it.

No Spirits within spaming? I thought it would be more effective for sam

Well the whole Spirits strat is only good if the mages can keep you healed all the time, but Behe likes to spam a lot of aoe's. That made Spirits very hard to pull off.

My LS and I did Hakutaku last night, and I finally got a chance to get my Ohat. It was really nice getting Ohats for people, but other than that it went pretty uneventful. We were able to kill them in about 6 minutes so we wasted a lot of time just talking, and killing Million Eyes.
