My Japanese freind in ICQ that also plays FFXI on Sylph server said something about changing your moogle in the new patch. This could be it, ill contact my freind now and see if i can find more detailed info.

Oh its very possible, these pictures are of poor quality. They didnt even bother to change the shadows.. its the same for every guy. But then again, a few of them dont even have shadows. And if ya notice, plane is posting these pictures from his OWN site.

If by the same shadows from the every figures meaning that its the same oval blur... then there is nothing wrong with it. PC version always has that circular blur except the shadow of the PC player.

PS: The thing that bothers me is the jaggies (refering to the big dragon since the others are small and of poor jpg quality)... and even the glow casts them... so either it is legit or those guys really did their homework.

But i can almost guarantee one thing... the whole pic is not created in photoshop... cut and pasted sure why not, 3D modeled, a long shot but its possible... but not created in pnotoshop.

PPS: Anyway I compared pixle size using the pic with the old man wearing black (picked the cloak since it is the sharpest part) to the taru (and assuming the taru isnt photoshoped too) and they match. *ok redo that was a dumb experiment*

PPPS: Ok this time it's for Shiva. If you look closely to the tip of her drape thingy some of the pixles are missing. At first I thought it was a fault from a cut and paste but after I say this pic (third one) I guess it justifies it.

Just a wild guess but the echoing glow might be a result of a bad alpha layer effect cuz her model might not be suited for indoor display.

Any progress? nada.

If you could bet over forums I'd so take a chance with those odds. They were cracked from the original game. I may have had doubts if the oictures were out on the field but all the screen shots were in the mog house. Perfect place to do it without distorting your vision when in an area with several players. You can do it in most other MMORPGs why not this one? The images and sprites came with the original, they probably just changed the programs so that instead of loading the moogle sprites at point (x, y, z) they called upon the summon sprites.

I dont want to say anything, theres less than a month left for the expansion to be released and I'll see for sure myself if everything was true or not.

well if the guy with the armor and sword is real (not saying hes not it looks like simple file cracking to me) i think he may be odin for the simple fact that his legs are spread as if on horseback, and odin is the only summon i know of to utilize a horse.

And everyone says how good they look.. i think they look extremely cheesy and they dont seem to fit the environment. They seem almost .. i cant put words on it. Your all entitled to your opinion, but i think its photo'ed

We will find out in a few weeks but I am 99.9% sure there real to they fit right into the backround and show no signs of being photo'd and photoshop just not that good.

the reason they look out of place is because to get them i assume ppl are renaming files to the name fo the mog character, at some point so that the character or monster appears in the mog house instead of the mog just alittle light on the subject extreme
