I've been wondering how some of you NA guys can manage to get such JP-exclusive items as Koenig body and Adaman Hauberk. Are you guys in an HNM LS where it's both JP AND NA together? Because on my server, JP completely and utterly dominate NA in pulls to the point that we don't even bother trying. The top HNM LS on Siren has zero NA. Coincidentally, the top NA HNM LS's have zero JP, which means winning pulls on such HNMs as Nid/KB pretty much impossible. These JPs claim it a good 5 seconds before it even pops on our screens.

In short, how are you guys winning pulls from JPs, who live closer to the servers and use uber voke bots?

In it's simplicity... NA dominate JP on Midgard. There are a few JP LS that can compete however. It's not impossible to win claim against JP, just hard. You get good at claiming when you do it enough times. NewCompany was probably the most hated JP HNM LS on Midgard, however they havent been doing the 3 Kings for awhile; and if they do its usually in their time. NC been mainly doing the CoP Dragons also.

And having JP members in an NA LS is not the key to an HNM LS lol. Doesnt matter who.. just claim good and its all ok.

Hama missing Koenig legs XD. CT's first attempt at killing KB dropped cloth, Koenig Legs, adm legs. Sadly I wasnt online ; ; and Koenig went to our Taru Pld XD. (<3 Hama.. someday XD)

Hama is the only Taru with Koenig Body on the server. Swiyat, Stephen, and myself are the only 3 tarus with Adaman Body, all of us NA.

lol Kumaeru, there's no such thing as "claim good" when the mob is already claimed a good 5 seconds BEFORE it even spawns, i.e uber bots. Even if we had similiar bots, the chance of actually winning is still very slim, being JP live closer to the server.

Wow thats really nice Kumaeru I don't think I even seen a taru with adaman on my server at all. I still remember you from the FFXI beta you were like in my first party ever, my characters name was Zumi.

About getting fafnir, some NMs are harder to claim and Fafnir / Nidhogg is by far the hardest. In my experience if there are JP people there camping it will most likly spawn purple just no way around it. I found out the best way to get koenig / adaman / dalmatica is to hunt it when the JP don't. If your party gets on right when a server maintence ends usually around 4:00 pm pst and can kill fafnir right a way it places him in the worst time for JPs to hunt. Since the time frame for it to spawn would start at 6:00 am JP time. Basically you go back and kill every day until you get all the stuff you want while keeping the time the same. JP won't even show up at all during this time.

Yea I still remember my first PT in FFXI ever, You me and Ukatsu (same taru who told me about the taru "dance" hahaha) jeeze.. thats like closing in on 2 years about since we first met online.

Midgards NA population has like 1 Elvaan, a few Hume, 1 Taru, and 1 Galka in koenigs body. And... 3 Tarus, 2 or 3 Elvaan, a couple Hume, and 1 mithra in Adaman Body. Dalmaticas though drop a lot more imo. Think last I heard, r0's dalmatica count is up to 17.

Thing is though about claiming against JP, it is still possible to claim against them. If you still see purple when spawn after you set settings to minimum and resolution to minimum, then its probably your latency. But quite a few times, you can still win claim when you set everything low and still win when camping against JP botting HNM LS'.

Camping against NA's just make things less stressful to claim.

Doesn't Howler (Galka) have Adaman body? I don't really remember cause he hasn't been on as much lately.
