yes.. but only a dumbass tries to "showoff" how much gil they have when there is more than his own item on AH. You only see that if the person puts his item for 1 gil then buys it back before anyone else can buy it.

Usually the "showing off" only occurs when its the first time that item has been put on the AH. ie. Herald Gaiters or Noritsune Kote.

I talked to maldave a long time ago when i first saw that he sold a nobles tunic to himself for 99,999,999g and i asked what happens when he tries to get money out of his delivery box and he said that it won't let him. So if money cap is 999,999,999g then how come he couldn't get money out of his box while he had 99,999,999g ?
