One of our guys in Hades actually bought a Haubergeon for 1 gil.

The guy was selling it to himself for 1 gil about 10 times until our friend just decides to try bidding for it, and actually got it. Much hilarity ensued.

What would have been funny is if someone else got his 99,999,999 gil for their scorpion harness. To my understanding the person to have his item up first gets the money first. Meaning if I put my item up for 1 gil, while everyone else puts their item up for 1 million gil. If someone puts down 2million gil, I'll get that 2million gil first before everyone else, if my item was up the longest.

Yeah, it would be best not to try these things when your harness isn't the only one on auction.

It's not based on time.

It will always sell to the person with the lower bid first.



If you put item for 1 gil, and everyone else for 1mil. Your item will always sell first no matter how long you put it up. This is why people undercut the market to sell faster, it causes prices to go down. It also makes others pissed off because now with AH fee's reposting an item at a lesser price is a hassle. Scorpion Harness is still around 5mil on midgard, and costs around 100k to post up. Having to constantly repost the harness will keep taking away your gil.

Still... If you put up a scorpion harness for 10million gil. And that person tried to buy back his own scorpion harness, which he put up for 99,999,999 gil. There would still be a good chance that you, who put it up for 10million gil, could end up with 99,999,999 gil.
