I agree, Tetra Master is a fun game. For the beta, I spent the first week playing Tetra Master. I didn't even touch FFXI. Then, I figured "well I signed up for the beta to play Final Fantasy, might as well start playing." Once I started, I never went back to Tetra Master.
One of the reasons I never went back, besides the fact that I was basically addicted to playing FFXI, it's hard to level up sometimes, and if you don't stay right in step with your "class" you'll fall behind and never catch up.
For the first two and half weeks of beta, I always saw the same people, in the same places partying and fighting. Same people, just different group combos. One person goes on vacation, and comes back 5 days later and everybody they used to party with is twice their level, and they can never really catch up.
I started out in Windurst, so around Lv11, until about Lv14-16 everybody was in the Maze. I went back there, for the hell of it when I hit Lv22, and the place was a complete ghost town. So if ya get behind the rest of the "class," you may never catch up!
