Could you take a full scale screenshot. This one is so tiny. But i never heared about something like this. Did the problem solved itself the other day? then i would suggest a heat problem.

But to fix your visuals altogether, these are most likely your culprits. ----> backround resolution is :512x512 ----> texture compression: high ----> environmental animation: smooth *Use a lower setting for texture compression. Your textures will look a little better. *Environmental animation, you don't really need this at smooth unless you have a badass computer system. It'll eat up your performance. *Finally, up the background resolution some. This should make the game look a lot better than you currently have it. You'll have to use trial and error to see what works for you. Try 800x600 at first. If its too slow, bump it down to 640x480. If it runs smooth, go even higher to 1024x768. | |

As for MIP Mapping. MIP Mapping is a semi-performance setting. Basically when turned on, far away objects will use lower resolution graphics at a distance. Since they are far away, you can't see the details anyways, so you are telling it to go ahead and lower the resolution/detail of far away objects. But as the object gets closer, the resolution/detail on that object goes up until it reaches the maximum you have specified elsewhere on your settings.
