Thanks Rhayn! The Osode is much better. Personally I think the KP is lacking unless it had hidden effects like the elemental staves. I'd take all the elemental staves (HQ mind you) over the KP anyday...

KIRIN LOVIN PART TWO!
I decided to be nice and finish up the Kirin battles. This is the other Kirin battle that I was talking about in the previous post. I think this battle has interesting moments as well (including the nice Stone V). Not much to really say on this one. So if you have any questions about this battle at all, just post them here and I'll answer them when I find time.

Again, thanks for all the compliments for my screenshots thus far. I'm glad to present them to one of the greatest & most popular FFXI communities on the Internet. Enjoy.

POST-KIRIN LOVIN!!!!!!
This final set of pics is just the aftermath. Although the majority of us fought to try to get his drops, we had to reward our guests members because without their help, we would've fought him for a long time. The long line of people were a part of Kirin's main drops (a bunch of people already warped back to their HP) and the line you see in the distance is the 'guest payment' line. All the guest members filed into a single line and one at a time walked up to one of our members (who I must say is filthy rich T_T, he had the money to pay everyone apparently...) and he paid them their share 1 at a time. It was really neat looking to see everyone in single file (which is why I took pictures). It reminded me of kids walking up to an ice cream truck. :spin: I'm not really sure how much they were paid because I didn't ask. I do believe that the ingots that dropped (2 damascus ingots, totalling about 2.5 million gil) were a part of their payment.

Anyway, that's it for this session's Kirin posts. Hopefully I'll have some more interesting stuff for you to see in the future! Thanks for stickin' with me!

for a blm, unless an aburation you need drops, and unless kirin staff has some hidden effects (which wouldn't suprise me really), kirin is more about the experience as he said before. Its the endgame, the mob you kill when you've killed everything else.

As always your pics are great but what i like the best about your pics are your macros (i know that sounds really dorky but i do). I was wondering how do you make those numbers with circles around it and the arrow or the mosntes name with the brackets around it?

i'm pretty sure fal is running the JP version, they have all those special chars darn them :mad:

unless he uses the alt + 3 numbers combinations, you can make a ton of special characters doing that. Idk i'm kinda curious myself fal
