Don't really think it's a doctored pic. You'd hafta 'lasso' each letter that you wanted to use to make sure you didn't also copy a sliver of the slight light-blue/dark-blue gradient in the background, thus making the letters look obviously cut/pasted... and I don't think Calm would go through all that trouble just to get a little praise from his peers on a BBS.

Granted, the "ConGATulations" is an obvious typo, but could still easily be an oversight by SE during the translation before the NA release. Plus, it may be hard to spot/report one measly R since it's so hard to win at Lucky Roll anyways, no? I'm sure when someone wins 10k, the last thing on their mind is "check for spelling errors in that text and report them".

When you do quests and get money for it, the gil reward is always in white text. Only items are green. Next time you do one, keep an eye out for a colon in the "Obtained : xxx gil." message.
