I know in PSO you have to be extra careful when your saving and power outages are a sure mem card corruption lol... i was wondering are there any precautions you should take while saving or things you should and shouldn't do when u log off? course i know saving to a server is a lot dif than to a mem card, still curious.

If you were playing and then you unplugged your power you would be in the same spot as you left off. Something might occur while you try to log off while lagging. I remember I was playing Asheron's Call and I logged off while running and ended up in another town. It takes like a couple of minutes to recognize that you are off the servers. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-06-2003, 05:11 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Super Moderator Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Jan 2003 Location: Aurora, CO. And there arn't any dreadful glitches that can occur like - once again pso the dreaded " BSOD/FSOD" lol causing item character lose? sorry for all these questions. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-06-2003, 05:15 PM | #4 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 889 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 772 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 772 Donate | Where PSO characters stored on memory cards? If so then the characters could be lost but if one the server they can't be lost unless Square really f***s up. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-06-2003, 05:19 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Super Moderator Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Jan 2003 Location: Aurora, CO. Most of the problems with PSO are not present in FFXI. Bah... prentend there's a pretty sig pic here. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-06-2003, 07:25 PM | #7 (permalink) | | Super Moderator Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Jan 2003 Location: Aurora, CO. If square doesn't detect packets from you after a few seconds, your character disappears from the world. Basically, you never have to worry about things happening to your character while you're not there. What you do have to worry about, however, is what's there waiting for your character when you come back. you don't lose stuff when you die, but you lose EXP and you CAN level down, so it really sucks DRK75 / THF37 / WAR37 / RDM60 / BLM31 / PLD11 ohnoez | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
