I just started up my playonline client and got this error message saying I had been banned.

The support websites had no information about the error code, I wasnt informed as to why I was banned and have been unable to access support.

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I couldnt find anywhere that might be more relevant.

really? so you post in the FFXIV discussion thread section.... an area that has NOTHING to do with FFXI.......

for one, no one here can help you, if it says you ahve been banned, then the only thing you can do is contact SE and talk with them about it.

Have as much information as you can available when you call, like your personal info, credit card info, POL ID and password (returning and established players), and possibly your registration codes.

odd.. I went to edit this right away, and the site locked up on me, so I had to wait till thismorning *shrugs*

LM-17 means a temp ban, 3-days I think. They do that while they look at your account, if they find nothing then your good to do. But yeah there's the info TGM posted ;p use it and good luck.

Thank you too, Kailea, I'm glad it's only a temp ban. I'm running the free trial at the moment and I don't want to install and register the game if I'm just going to get banned again.

Well from what I see, a trail account is more likely to get banned then a retail one, because RMT use the trials ALOT.

I got a message in the playonline membership information and the code at the bottom was LM-17. I just finished talking with a guy online at the support center and he said that it was banned, but wouldn't tell me the exact reason except that I was in violation of the member agreement or something. But I got a email last night saying that it was suspended because of a credit card chargeback, which makes absolutely no sense. I just bought this game and started playing last week so I have no idea what is going on.

Keep pursuing it. Ask to speak with a manager and not some lackey that answers the phone. Also make sure you send an email through POL. I found out that the call center and the email through POL are two different entities and I got a better response from the email than the phone.

I called earlier today and they did say I was banned, but it was because they said there was something weird with my account..(whatever that means), but luckily I got my account back so I can keep playing it..phew.
