Buddy Pass and expansion packs

Hey

Ok I'm a little confused about how the process works. So I bought the Vana'diel Collections 2008 CD and used the registration code for myself (so I can play FFXI and access all expansion areas.) I gave the buddy pass to my boyfriend and he's been using that.

His 30 day trial rolled over and he started paying using the credit card he entered, but despite installing all the expansion packs onto his computer, he can't access them and they still show up as unhighlighted on his FFXI start screen.

We're assuming this is because he has installed but not registered them.

We bought another copy of the 2008 Vana'diel Collections and are now in possession of another regular registration code (well and another buddy pass too, which my brother is now using). So, my question is, if he puts in this regular registration code, the same type that I use to play the game, into the "Register Expanded Services" area on his PlayOnline Viewer, will it register ALL of his expansion packs, or will it only register ONE expansion pack (the one that he enters it under)?

Thanks for your help guys! I appreciate it.

Re: Buddy Pass and expansion packs

If VC08 comes with a single code, it should register all expansions (not counting the recent mini-expansion thingies) and even Tetra Master. (anyone remember that?)

But only once per code, of course.

when you bought the second copy of VC08, you should have used the registartion code, no the second buddy pass.
