Hi everybody!

Since a few months I decided to reactivate a content ID on FFXI. I did this on Friday March 20th. Ever since then I have been trying to get into the game, but every time I try, this error comes up:

Version Update Communication Error
Error code: POL - 12321
An unexpected problem occurred persistent problems can be reported from Service & Support.

I can login to PlayOnline and I have sent them a message. Does anybody know what this means and what I can do to solve this?

Have as much information as you can available when you call, like your personal info, credit card info, POL ID and password (returning and established players), and possibly your registration codes.

I called them today and got through fairly quickly, approx. 5 minutes until I had a rep. The rep said to avoid calling on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of every month unless necessary.

Hi GrandMom,

I had a reply from Service & Support yesterday, telling me to reinstall PlayOnline Viewer. I did this...3 times! And still it did not work, but now something else is going on. The last time i installed this POL asked me for my POL ID and password...and this last one, I forgot...I forgot to write it down as well as my ID. So now I can't even get into POL.

Since I'm in the Netherlands I have to call a UK phone number. That's what I'll have to do today at work, since they're only open till 1800hrs.

I'll let you know how it turned out!

Well, just called Service & Support. I got my POL password now, but I still get the same POL 12321 error. The official FFXI website tells me to completely uninstall everything and reinstall again. That's what I'm doing now...oh and not yet everything is solved then...I don't now what my POL mail password is...all those passwords are driving me nuts!

Hopefully I get stuff working now, grrrrrrr

Well keep your chin up! I'm sure you'll get it all straightened out. Now I'm an old woman and passwords are my enemy, so I keep a notebook on my desk with all of my passwords. I used to keep it in a document on my desktop but after my hard drive crashing and losing all that info, I decided the old pencil and paper way was better. LOL

Now all I have to do is call S&S again for my POL mail password and all is fine....*sigh*

Oh yeah, I have written everything down now, all the IDs, passwords, registration codes, EVERYTHING....this is not going to happen to me again! (...I hope)
