Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the chat filters. I deactivated any messages that I do not need to see so far, including the "Missed attacks by foes". But still I see messages like this in my chatlog: Quote:
I hope you can help me with this. Thanks in advance, Ben

I would just like to note from personal experience that chat filters and font colors are annoying as crap to work with, and you will never get things to be the way you want them with the way S-E has set it up. That aside, for that particular message, the game probably wants you to filter "Evaded attacks by player" or something like that.

Remember, chat filters show actions from both the player side & the mob side. If you have the player evade/missed chat filter on it's probably the mob evade/missed filter that's still not activated. As YM said, it's awful to get the chat filters/colors just the way you want them so you just have to play around with it. Good luck if you are lvling a mage and a dd/tank job, constantly have to change filters for mine

Hello Yellow Mage and Ceaphyre, since my focus is primarily on caster jobs (WHM / BLM / SMN) I am not too interested in damage dealt by players or monsters. What I want to see are status changes, if any of my Avatars' attacks miss or hit (because of the generated enmity) and such things. So, I already have disabled all kinds of "missed" messages, no matter who or what misses. What I will have to check are those "evaded" type messages, I'm not too sure about those right now. I just want to make sure, that I do not miss any information that is vital for my role in a party. Thank you both for your answers, I'll have a look at that. Greets, Ben P.s.: I already changed the colors to suit my needs, that one worked out quite well. SE should just have added more customisation options, but for me it's ok the way it is.

Maybe someone who is a mage could screenshot how their filters are set up and post it to show him?
