So I'm finally 10. Now, everywhere I read I'm suppose to go to the Dunes. Now I have been looking in town (Bastok) on how to get over to where I need to go, but I can't seem to figure it out. I found an airship, but I need an airship pass >> Will someone kindly direct me where to go from here? I'm looking as I type this, but maybe I'll get a response here before I find it myself.

You're going to want to travel to the Dunes by way of Konascacht Highlands, which is accessed through North Gustaberg by way of South Gustaberg. Being a Bastokan Native, you should have maps covering you all the way to the highlands.

Are their certain maps I should buy to get there? I'm at Rex now and there are a lot of maps to buy and I'm not sure which ones to get.

Well, you'll always be in need of maps, start with the cheaper ones you can afford - they tend to be for the lower level zones anyway - then collect the others later. You'll find similar NPCs in other towns selling maps, but they only sell so many and some must be quested.

I'll take you a while to walk there, be careful of the mobs- they will be more powerful than the ones in Gustaberg (of course) and will aggro you.

One helpful thing you can do if you haven't taken off yet- check the conquest map to see if the Zulkheim reagion is controlled by Bastok- if it is stop and talk with the gaurds before you leave and get supplies for that region. Once you get to the dunes give them to the guy by the flag just a short ways into the dunes- you will then be able to Outpost warp to and from (if it's not beastmen contolled) there if you are on a job that is at least 10 for 300 to 900 gil depending on who has control of the region.

Also be sure to stop at the crag and get the teleport crystal.

What is it used for and how do I use it?

I'm also still trying to learn how to use the party system. Should I be in town to look for a party or should I go to the actual dunes and look there? Should I use seek or autogroup?

That means you're at the wrong telepoint. Go to the north side of the crag.

The crag crystals are used for when a whm can teleport you. The whm uses the spell Teleport-(crag name such as Dem, Mea, Holla) and you will disappear and appear at that telepoint crystal. It's important to get all of them.

Do not use autogroup and seek as you are making your way to the Dunes and while you are in the dunes.

Yes it is, and you really should take a look at the region map, so you can see the general location you have to move towards, then consult ffxiclopedia about the maps.

Its gonna take a long time if you wait for people to answer you on the forums, you might wanna ask people ingame for guidance too.

i was reading up on chocobo raising and it says i have to go to Jueno. I see it on my map, but its in the middle of the ocean. Can i walk there or is there a certian way to get there? and im assuming its a major city?

You can reach Jeuno on foot, and yes, it's a major city.

You need to be level 20 to accept the quest that allows you to ride chocobos, regardless of whether they're rental chocobos or your own.

I'd like to point out that there's not much of a point in going to Jeuno until you're level 20, and that when you do decide to go to Jeuno, you should go alone.

If you can't make it to Jeuno in one piece, you need to work on avoiding aggro and you'll just get yourself (and possibly others) killed further down the line.
