Ok I havn't played FFXI for... around 6 months? ish

I never cancelled an ID, my friend was paying my account and didn't know my password, I don't know what happend in the last 6 months.

It's a long story, let's just stick to the topic.

Anyway, is it possible (assuming it was cancelled) to get it back?
Is there a way of checking without calling?

My info is still on FFXIAH and Friend List Plus works fine.

Also, if I download the 14 months free trial (As my Xbox 360 is broke atm) can I access my account (If it's still alive), for 14 days?


And finally, is there a site (like FFXIAH), where you can check how much gil you have and such?

Not understanding your problem here.

Why not just log on to POL and check?

If the account went unpaid, they usually just lock that account until you pay what you owe.

If you didn't cancel anything, you should be fine. But if you cancelled your POL account, you're not getting anything back.

May he deleted it from his PC and lost all his information, if not then he should be able to check it.

I thought the free trial was only for new accounts. I don't think you can use it for an exsisting account.

Why don't you just call POL then? Sure it might take awhile to get a hold of someone but its better then not being able to do anything at all. Also, if they were your "friend" whether they have moved or whatever, wouldn't they give you a number or something to contact them? I have had friends move across the whole entire US and still talk to me on the phone, so that's no excuse. Also, no they free trail only includes, the Original FFXI and that's it. (just like the buddy pass does.)

No offense, but perhaps giving you account to a "friend" without any way to contact said "friend" wasn't the best of ideas. If contacting SE doesn't solve the issue, and you are jonesin' to play, you may be SOL without just buying the game for PC (if your xbox is dead).

Next time use some common sense when handing paid accounts over to "friends."

Okay, the friend, I met over FFXI.
Known them for around 5 years.
My xbox broke, ending the only connection I had to that person.
So I couldn't contact them, directly.

I didn't feel like sitting on POL for hours, nor did I know their credit info and the such.

Anyway, I ended up asking a friend through Friend List Plus to contact them.
Turns out they never cancelled it and it's still active.
Now to get my Xbox fixed..
but thank you to the people who stayed on topic and answered the question, no thanks to the people jumping down my throat.

I did answer your questions o_O and cant you just get the PC version if your xbox is broke? I think you can use the same account from that on the PC version.

Until you get your 360 fixed, you should take one for the team and download the free trial to see if you can log into an existing account with it. That way we'll all* know if something like this pops up again.



*Maybe two or three people will actually remember, but there are at least two others that know how to use the search function, so that'll do.

You probably still could've gotten the guy's phone number or some other contact information outside of the game. I have cell phone numbers and email addys for all of the sackholders in my linkshell. Anyways glad the account is ok and hope to see you back soon . (I'm still kinda confused to why you'd give him the account to play and pay for and no password, but wc.)
