Back from a break. Mission status = ???

I have absolutely no idea where I am on missions. I have only done missions on Mithras, so, even though I vaguely remember doing them, it doesn't necessarily mean it was on this character.

My problem is this: When I open "Mission", it says Current: To Each His Own Right (3-1). The key item for completing this mission is Starway Stairway Bauble. I have this. I can't figure out where, in the mission, you recieve it, so I just assumed it's from the Oztroja part (or later). I thought maybe I had forgotten to complete the mission, so I tried talking to the NPC. The NPC mentions something about the guy going off to Oztroja.

My rank meter is full, so I tried starting the next mission, 3-3. The gate guard tells me to go to see Star Sybil. I went through all the steps for 3-3, up to the Qufim Tower part, and nothing.

So basically, I have no clue what I'm supposed to be doing. The Missions list says I'm on 3-1, but I don't want to go to Oztroja just to find out I've already done it. I also don't want to go to Qufim to find out I'm not supposed to be there.

Any suggestions for finding out where I'm supposed to be?

You get that item for starting the quest. If after speaking to Rhy Epocan, you cannot complete the mission, you probably still need to go to Castle Oztroja.

If 3-1 is the mission where you have to go find Ajido then yep. If you don't have the Old ring key item from the cast<tab> you probably still need to go click on the trap door there.
