It won't hurt, I promise. The only thing that will happen is you will be playing the game the same day you started installing! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-23-2007, 05:04 AM | #7 (permalink) | | Fence Sitter Brain of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: UK Posts: 1,342 Style: Dark - Version 5 Thanks: 53 Thanked 90x in 68 Posts Gil: 4,047 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 4,047 Donate | Re: Installation Originally Posted by oka5 | | what will happen if i do install everything on the same day | You will get the game available? Depending on your connection speed, the updates may take a long time, but that is uncertain, you should only worry if your connection is 56kbps, which should take you anything like 5 hours atleast to update the whole thing... someone throw me a bone here? Im not speaking by experience. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-23-2007, 07:45 AM | #10 (permalink) | | Boom de yada! Boom de yada! Hopefully that time would go down with the 2008 Collection. Ellipses on Fenrir There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

If you have nothing else going on over your connection (you shouldn't) you might get disconnected many times making it hard to run unattended. The best way around this is to get something that will request a small webpage every 5-10 min. Firefox with 'reload every' just reloading google.com will do this. The problem being that a number of dialup ISP's only consider some types of traffic as an active line. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-23-2007, 09:06 AM | #12 (permalink) | | factcheck.org Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Oct 2004 Posts: 6,904 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 1,707 Thanked 1,542x in 1,077 Posts Gil: 10,699 Bank: 566,551 Total Gil: 577,250 Donate | Re: Installation | Quote: | | Firefox with Tab Mix Plus, the best plugin there is for firefox, reloading google.com will do this | FTFY. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
